- The Home Economics Institute of Australia (similar structure to CHEA) has this on their site: http://www.heia.com.au/home-economics-profession
- The National Association of State Administrators of Family and Consumer Sciences (NASAFACS) has a set of standards and competencies for all aspects of human ecology/home economics. - University of Alberta Human Ecology program and the core competencies built into their program:

- A few universities in the United States offer a comprehensive human ecology degree program, frequently used as the basis for a teaching degree or certification. These programs cover family/child development, nutrition and clothing/textiles at a minimum.
